There are many opportunities for Bay Village residents to hike, bike and run within city limits or at nearby Metroparks. Beautiful Lake Erie provides scenic views while biking or running Lake Road and the Huntington Reservation is a great place to hike during any season. Bradley and Cahoon Memorial Parks offer all-purpose trails for hiking, biking, running and in-line skating. There is no jogging, running or walking on the main roads. Joggers, runners, and walkers must stay on the sidewalks or trails.

 

Hiking Trails
There are several all purpose trails located throughout Bay Village which make excellent opportunities for walking, running, biking and in-line skating:

Bradley Road Park - 1/2 mile loop
Cahoon Memorial Park (north of Lake Road) - 1/2 mile loop
Bay Village High School Fitness Trail - .6 mile loop (1 km)
Huntinton Reservation Trail - 1 mile trail along Porter Creek Drive, past the Wolf Picnic Area to Cahoon Road then back along Wolf Road.

Additionally, there are trails located in the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation which has entrances off Detroit Road, Riverside Drive, Wooster Road, Mastick Road, Brookway Lane and Cedar Point Road. The Metropark's all-purpose trail is marked at 1-mile increments.

 

Bicycle Routes
SAFETY
1) Watch for traffic when entering a street.
2) Bicyclists riding at night should wear a light colored jacket or shirt.
3) Follow other riders a t a safe distance.
4) Use the "buddy system".

Bicycle riding is prohibited on the pavement where the following symbol is posted:

Running Routes
Any of the trails located in Bay Village make great places to run. Some suggested routes through the residential streets are indicated on the attached maps.

Note - The Bay Village High School track is not open to the public for running. However, there is a public .6 mile running trail located between the stadium and high school.
